When you visit this website, our server automatically processes technical access data (IP address, date and time, page requested, browser type). This data is required for the technical operation and security of the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) and is deleted after 14 days at the latest. Hosting is provided by OVH in a data center in the EU.
This website uses no tracking or analytics cookies and no advertising services. Only technically necessary local storage (localStorage) on your device is used to remember your choice in the notice banner. This data never leaves your device.
Anonymous visitor statistics (without cookies): To improve our offering, we count page views on the server – without cookies and without recognition across devices. We process the requested path, the source (referrer, e.g. Google or Instagram) and the country derived from the IP address. The IP address itself is not stored. To roughly distinguish visits, we use a daily changing, irreversible hash value – it cannot be traced back to individuals. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in anonymous, data-minimizing statistics (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
The chat assistant (“Jo”) on this website answers questions locally in your browser only. Your input is not transmitted to our servers or third parties and is not stored.
Fonts are served locally from our own server. There is no connection to Google Fonts or other external font services.
If you use the demo request form or contact us by email, we process the data you provide (name, company and industry if applicable, phone number, email address, message) solely to handle your request and arrange a demo (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR – pre-contractual measures). The data is stored on our server in the EU, not passed on to third parties, and deleted once it is no longer needed and no statutory retention obligations apply.
The following applies to the use of the Terminjo software (web app and mobile apps for iOS and Android) by our business customers (salons, studios, practices).
a) Account and usage data: When you register and use the service, we process the data of the business or authorized person (name, studio name, industry, email address, phone number, password in encrypted form) to provide the service and perform the contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
b) Data processed on behalf of the business: As part of the service, we process personal data of the business's own clients on its behalf and according to its instructions (e.g. name, phone number, email address, appointments, notes and the content of WhatsApp and phone conversations with the AI assistant “Emma”). This is processing on behalf of a controller under Art. 28 GDPR; the respective business is the controller of this data. On request, we conclude a data processing agreement (DPA) with the business.
c) Service providers: To provide the service, we use carefully selected processors, including OVH (hosting, EU data center), Stripe and PayPal (payment processing), Komoot (address suggestions via the “Photon” service based on OpenStreetMap — only the typed address text is transmitted), Meta Platforms (WhatsApp Business API for messaging), providers of telephony and voice AI (for Emma's phone calls), an AI provider for Emma's language understanding in WhatsApp messages and calls, and an email delivery service. The contracts required by data protection law are in place; for transfers to third countries, appropriate safeguards (e.g. EU Standard Contractual Clauses) are used.
d) Push notifications: If you agree, we send you push notifications through the app (e.g. for new bookings). A device token is processed for this purpose. You can turn off notifications at any time in your device settings.
e) Deleting your account: You can permanently delete your account at any time directly in the app under “More → Security → Delete account”. Your account and associated data are then permanently removed, unless statutory retention obligations (e.g. for invoices) apply. More information: terminjo.de/konto-loeschen.
f) Calendar and photos: If you choose, the app adds your appointments to a separate “Terminjo” calendar on your device; the calendar permission is used for this, and no calendar data from your device is transmitted to us. If you connect an external calendar (e.g. Google or Outlook) via a link, we read its events to block those times for bookings. Photos (e.g. before/after pictures) are only uploaded when you select them yourself.
This privacy policy is current as of September 2026. It will be updated when the website or service is extended.
